Innovative Glass Solutions for Sustainable Designs
Abstract
Glass due to its transparency, offers sustainable designs for construction, furniture, automotive, energy and home appliances. With the development of technology, glass strongly influences modern architecture and is used widely in various buildings types. Low-E and solar control Low-E glass are developed for enhanced energy efficiency in buildings. As larger glazing surfaces used for benefiting maximum daylight in buildings, safety and security parameters are considered in design. Temperable low-E and solar control low-E glass with various performance alternatives offer innovative glass solutions to modern building needs as high light transmittance, heat control, solar control, safety and security. Glass while providing functional solutions to facades, enriches the interiors with its flexible design potential. Decorative glass with various levels of transmittances, patterns and color alternatives can be used to maximize the impression of light and add color to the interiors. Today glass which is an innovative building material, offers exclusive solutions to various building requirements as an important design partner. In the future, with the development of glass technology, glass will continue to be an unlimited building material for the designers.
