Biography

B. Özge Şerifoğlu Akyürek – Dr. Akyürek is a graduate from University of California San Diego with a PhD degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, in June 2017. She joined Professor Jan Kleissl’s Center of Renewable Resources Integration (CRRI) and Solar Forecasting and Solar Resource Assesment Lab (SRAF) at UCSD where she worked on Numerical Weather Prediction models. She developed a novel closed form analytic solution on solar forecasting as her thesis work. She received her B.S and M.S degree in Environmental Engineering Department from Yildiz Technical University and Hacettepe University, respectively. She currently continues to work in the Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation as an Expert Engineer and Head of Divison of Climate Change Impacts and Sectoral Analysis Research under the Department of Adaptation to Climate Change.
