Biography
Erdem Sezer has been working as Senior Vice President and Head of the Sectoral Research Team at the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye. He is undertaking duties focusing on market research, including foreign trade analysis, competitor analysis, SWOT analysis, demand-side forecast, sales price, and sales volume projections for various industries.
Prior to his current role, he worked as an Analysis and Trading Strategies Manager at AKSA Energy Trading for four years. He undertook duties focusing on power and gas market analysis, utility-scale electricity demand forecast and electricity market operations, B2B pricing, energy sourcing, origination, and budget management. He also coordinated a project for the development of value-added digital energy services for end customers. Before AKSA Energy Trading, he was head of the consultancy department at APLUS Energy where he developed fundamental power market models and managed feasibility projects for conventional and renewable power plants. He also worked with multinational technology companies for market entry strategies in the Turkish energy market.
Erdem Sezer holds an MSc degree in Energy Studies with a Specialization in Energy Finance from the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom as a Jean Monnet scholar. He graduated from Bahcesehir University, Istanbul with a dual BA degree in Economics and International Relations in 2010.
