Biography
Alper Kalaycı, born in Ankara in 1973; He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Bolu. Kalaycı, who graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1998, started his career as an installation and maintenance engineer at one of Turkey’s first wind energy power plants between 1998 and 2001.
Starting from December 2001, Kalaycı started working at Enercon Aero Wind Industry, which produced Turkey’s first composite wind turbine blades in the Aegean Free Zone, and served as General Manager from 2009 until August 2023. Alper Kalaycı, who is also the General Manager of WEC Kule company, which produces wind turbine concrete towers in Torbalı, Izmir, retired as of September 2023 and continues to serve the sector with EnConIQ Energy Consultancy company, which he founded.
He also continues to serve as a Vice Chairman of the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO) Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Working Group, Izmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO) Clean Energy Working Committee member, Federation of West Anatolia Industrialists & Business Association (BASİFED) Board member and Vice Chairman, Offshore Wind Energy Board Member of the Association (DÜRED), a Board Member of Izmir Development Agency (İZKA), a Board Member of Izenerji, and a Board Member of GENBA.
Alper Kalaycı, who was among the founding staff of the Energy Industrialists and Businessmen Association (ENSIA) in 2016, has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the association as of March 2021.
