E-Mobility Revolution in Eurasia: 2025 and Beyond

Abstract

In the last ten years, electric vehicles (EVs) have entered our lives globally, transforming sustainable mobility. While there were 300,000 EVs in the world in 2014, sales reached 17 million in a single year by 2024, with Eurasian countries like Germany and China taking the lead in this revolution. As in hub of Eurasia Turkey, the number of EVs exceeded 185,000 in 2024, and with over 105,000 sales, they made up 10.7% of the total vehicle market; the charging infrastructure rose to 26 thousand sockets, including 10 thousand fast (DC) chargers, making it the leader in Europe. The impact of domestically produced electric vehicles, the interest from Chinese manufacturers (BYD, Chery), and the target of 500,000 EVs by 2030 are accelerating growth in the country. The widespread availability of charging stations, innovations such as autonomous driving technologies and battery recycling, along with energy management and digital supply chains, will create new business opportunities. The average ravity center of the world economy is no longer in the Atlantic Ocean but much further east. With its dynamic economy and population, Eurasia will lead the e-mobility revolution beyond 2025, as it will in other sectors.
