Biography
Prof. Dr. Kazim Sari earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey. He currently serves as a Vice Rector and Professor of Industrial Engineering at Istanbul Beykent University, Istanbul, Turkey. His principal research areas include analysis and design of supply chains and logistics systems through optimization and simulation modeling. Green management practices, supply chain collaboration, errors in inventory management, and the bullwhip effect are the main areas of research for him. His studies have been published in various prestigious journals including European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management and presented at many national and international conferences. He is a member of Production and Operations Management Society (POMS).
