Abstract

Information will be given about the importance of renewable energy for our country and the general energy policies implemented, and the general energy outlook will be summarized. Developments regarding the potential and applications of renewable energy sources in our country will be explained. General information will be given about the developments in the legislation in the renewable energy sector and the investment models resulting from them.

Biography

After graduating from Alaplı Anatolian High School in 2005, he started his undergraduate education at Kocaeli University Electrical Engineering and graduated in 2010 as the top student of the department (3.58/4). He completed the Electronics and Communications Engineering with the Double Major Program (DMP) in 2011. In the same year, he started his master’s education at Kocaeli University Electrical Engineering and studied Power Electronics for about 1 year at Aalborg University in Denmark with the Erasmus Program.

He started to work as an Assistant Energy Expert at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources General Directorate of Renewable Energy in 2012. His interest areas are renewable energy technologies, especially solar and wind energy. He was entitled to become an Energy Expert with his thesis “Identification of Wind and Solar Energy Resource Areas and Their Application in Our Country”, which he prepared in 2016.

He moved to the private sector in 2016, where he worked at Halk Enerji as a Project Manager and at Mobil Solar Energy as Assistant General Manager. He started to work at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources again in 2019 and still is working as an Energy Specialist in the Re-Zone Department. He is married and has a child.
